UN-SDG Chino Valley Charter Club April Member Meeting
The second gathering of Ayala High School’s UN-SDG Chino Valley Charter Club revolved around a comprehensive discussion regarding the various upcoming activities and opportunities available to its members.
These include engaging in competitive events such as the Orator and Illustrator competitions, participating in the WOSL and MIT Climate Change and Research Program, and striving for selection in the 2024 UN Junior Ambassadors for Sustainable Development and SE4ALL program.
Moreover, the club emphasized the urgent necessity to fill the vacant officer positions to ensure the smooth functioning and success of the club’s initiatives.
Cultural Exchange Program Certificate Ceremony
Following the success of the Cross Pakistan Program, we are thrilled to announce another milestone achievement – the completion of our Cultural Exchange Program (CEP). The CEP brought together three distinct cultures: American, Chinese, and Pakistani, fostering rich and diverse learning experiences.
Our outstanding student interns, trained as instructors, demonstrated remarkable proficiency in delivering lectures with clarity and confidence. Their unwavering commitment to excellence significantly contributed to the success of our initiatives.
One of the most valuable outcomes for both interns and candidates was the development of teamwork and leadership skills. Participants gained insights into how culture influences domestic and international issues, fostering a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of our world.
The certificate ceremony took place at the Chino Valley Unified School District/Alternative Education Center in Chino Hills, CA, both in-person and virtually. We were honored to host a keynote session featuring Dr. Donald Lee, former United Nations Economist. Dr. Lee’s invaluable speech enhanced our candidates’ understanding of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), leaving a profound impact on all in attendance.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all participants and look forward to continued collaboration and success in our future endeavors. Together, our collective efforts can create meaningful change and make a significant impact, both within our own communities and on a global scale. Let’s continue to work collaboratively towards a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
